Additional Information

Spruce Point Farm (home of Exceptional Equitation) is now open for visitors. Individuals and her/his companion (example: CLS, respite worker, TCS, therapist, parent or older sibling) can come and visit the farm. They will be able to interact with the animals (horses, donkeys, alpacas, chickens, dogs and cats). The farm is located on 15 acres near LaGrange, KY with 2 small ponds and surrounded by woods. Walking around the property gives participants an opportunity to observe the natural environment. The individual and companion must complete a release form. A donation to help feed the animals is requested ($12 buys a bag of feed, $6 buys a bale of hay). Visits are by appointment only. Participants may stay for 1-3 hours and may bring their lunch/snack. Only 1 individual and 1 companion is allowed to visit per reservation, however, other individuals and their companions may be visiting at the same time (up to 3). Groups of 10 or less and their caregivers can be scheduled to visit. The groups will be involved in the same activities as individuals. Again, a donation is requested. Release forms must be completed for all participants and staff.

Please be aware that there is no implied endorsement of the listed programs in the Kentucky Autism Supports and Services Directory by the KATC. The purpose of the Kentucky Autism Services and Supports Directory is to help parents and professionals share information. It is recommended that parents speak to a representative of the program before enrolling their children, to ensure that the interests, skills, talents and needs of each child can be met in the program.
